What's inside

Ever wonder what makes Piklo so refreshing?

The vinegar and the brine give Piklo its bold, refreshing flavor. Here is what is inside every can, in the order it is printed on the back.

  1. Carbonated Filtered Water

Hydrates the body and provides the refreshing sparkling base.

  2. White Distilled Vinegar

Contains acetic acid, which helps support healthy blood sugar responses after meals and contributes to the drink’s tangy flavor.

  3. Sodium Citrate

    Adds sodium and buffers acidity.

  4. Cane Sugar

Provides a small amount of glucose that helps improve intestinal sodium and water absorption, supporting hydration.

  5. Sea Salt

Supplies sodium, the primary electrolyte responsible for maintaining fluid balance, nerve signaling, and muscle function.

  6. Natural Flavor

Provides the signature dill pickle taste without adding significant calories or sugar.

  7. Potassium Citrate

Provides potassium, an essential electrolyte that supports muscle contraction, nerve function, and normal hydration.

  8. Magnesium Citrate

A can of Piklo on ice with fresh dill and cucumber slices
Ooltewah, Tennessee
Why a pickle soda

People always say, "Why?"

Or “it’s a silly idea.” Well, let us tell you. While visiting Pittsburgh for Picklesburgh in 2025 we discovered all sorts of pickled items, foods and beverages — yet something was missing.

We wanted a soda. Something crisp and sizzly going down your throat, but refreshing. Pickle brine, but sweet.

See the vision yet? Nobody made it, so we did. Piklo is a family business in Ooltewah, Tennessee, and this is the can we spent a year getting right.

Best served chilled

Questions

Yes, people ask.

What does Piklo actually taste like?

Cold dill brine, then fizz, then a short sweet finish. It reads as a soda first and a pickle second. If you like the last swallow of brine in the jar, you already know whether this is for you.

Is it sour?

Tangy, not sour. Straight brine has a hard acidic edge. The cane sugar and the citrates take that edge off, which is the whole reason this took a year to get right.

What is actually in it?

Carbonated filtered water, white distilled vinegar, sodium citrate, cane sugar, sea salt, natural flavor, potassium citrate and magnesium citrate. That is the entire list. No preservatives, no artificial flavors.

How much cane sugar is in a can?

10g, all of it cane sugar.

Does it need to be refrigerated?

It ships and stores shelf stable. The can says best served chilled, and it is right. Keep refrigerated after opening.

How fast does it ship?

Everything ships from Ooltewah, Tennessee, and shipping is free on orders over $36. You will get a tracking number by email as soon as your order is on its way.
